I met Joel Spolsky, who is in Japan now. I managed a project of publishing the translated version of his first book several years ago. And it was the first time I can get the chance to talk with him. He didn't speak, say, ironically at all against his writings. Contrary, his presentation was filled with jokes and ironies and it was so fun. It must be more atractive without translations because he seemed to wait before saying each sentence until the translator finished the last sentence. Anyway, I could have had a nice day.
