Indexing is a hard work

The most important part of building a technology book is to pick up indexes.(I don't know whether the sentence 'building a book' is appropriate.) I think that a poor index dominates a book even if the book has interesting contents. As far as the book I am involved in, picking up index is incredibly hard work.
