Shinkanses

I woke up early and enjoyed watching Shinkansens, japan's most fast superexpress. There are many types of Shinkansens according to its destination, date of introduction, and number of its floor -- we have, surprising it may sound, full-double-decked Shinkansens.

Anyway, you could see almost all variety of Shinkansens just for about 30 minutes since the railway company runs it every few minutes in morning.

This is the Type-E4, full-double-decked Shinkansenn. It goes for Sendai or Niigata.

Sometimes it's operated being coupled with another type. In the below photo, it was coupled with Type-E3-1000s. Type-E3s are single-deck.

There's another full-double-decked one, Type-E1.

This red striped one is Type-E2 Shinkansen. It's the most widely used model.

There also are Type-E2 late production. It has a pink stripe. According to the railway company, its pink stripe reflects an azalea flower.

The color of Shinkansen, however, is so vagary. The railway company sometimes painted it based on its destination, and sometimes based on its type.
