Aggressive

I feel myself a little bit aggressive in a negative way. I know the surroundings is are just attributed to contributing to at most half of my current aggressive tendency. Another half is, maybe, the frustration.

I just came across your blog, and since you are practicing English, I thought I'd point out that it should be "surroundings are" rather than "is," since "surroundings" is plural. Also, I think you are trying to say that the surroundings are "causing" or "contributing to" at most half of your current aggressive tendency. By using the verb "attribute", you are actually saying that at most half of your current aggressive tendency is causing your surroundings, which doesn't really make sense.

Hi JMC. Thank you for your advice! I might have mistaken 'attribute' for 'causing' or 'contributing' if you hadn't pointed out.

And I'm always confused whether to use plural or singular for an abstruct noun ;(
Are there any easy-to-remember rules?
