I want an ice cream

I heard yesterday that the coffee shop I sometimes go to will serve a spoon of ice cream at the Halloween by shouting 'trick or treat' at the time of the order. Practicing pronunciation of 'trick or treat', I went to the same coffee chain's another parlor, which I often go to and know the staffs. But the parlor didn't offer such a service. I was so disappointed.

Escape

I'd better stop procrastinating.

I just wanted to use the word procrastinate. I was going to proceed to the next door already.

Obsequious

I haven't communicate with lackeys for these weeks. I, of course, am not in the position of being cringed, but I think the one who apts to be fawning seems not to be polite to anyone. Such a man looks down upon anyone whom he belittles. I'm getting depressed as I have to talk with one of those guys tomorrow.

Blue-train

In Japan, the sleeper is traditionally painted in dark blue. So we call it the Blue-train as a nickname. It's also worth mentioning that the Blue-train is almost the only railway coach tracted by the locomotive, since most of the train have its own motors and don't need the tractor.

The bed was so tight and hard. All the same, it was exciting sleeping on the running train.

Rain

It has been rain all day. Although I can't hear the sound of falling rain for now, I'm not sure if the tyhoon has gone. It seems to be fine tomorrow.

Not being able to go out, we've spent hours with books. She was reading an introductory book on the Islamic world. It's quite well written in my opinion. But the book alone may be hard to tell some important details like the history of the Shiar.

What-ifs

When I went to the coffee shop at the lunch, the stuff asked me if I was engaged on the space engineering job. Of course I'm not. He seemed to infer that from my coffee tumbler having a drawing of rockets around. I can hardly imagine my working as a rocket engineer. But I then enjoyed some what-ifs for a minute.

Sea

It's my fault that the project isn't on the schedule. And it's my inavility to concentrate one thing that there are some cluttered projects never seems to reach their end.

Anyway, such a disgusting was blown off whenever I face the ocean.

Tottori Sakyu

I came back home alive from a desert.

DSC_0120

Precisely it's not a desert but a vast sand hill, which called Tottori Sakyu. It's the odd beach on the Japan sea.

Traveling on a sleeper

I decided to take a short vacation and to travel by sleeper train.

R0012046

Japan is so small country and the superexpress Shinkansen run throught the country that we don't have to spend money and time to take a sleeper train usually. So, traveling on a sleeper is just for a pleasure at least for me.

Out of shape

I'm in out of shape after an almost two years having been fine.

And I'm not sure if the sentence above is not fancy.

Jackalope

I accidentally knew the jackalope today. It's basically the rabit having horns like an antelope, and seems to be one of the well-known UMA in the US. Its cuteness really got to me. I think it's cute as much as a tutinoko that is the other famous UMA in Japan.

One of my friend complained that I always deny what she claims. But it's because I'm looking forward to her further contradiction. I think the conversation just chording each other must be bore. satan

SEGV

I wrote a simple program in C, and it was able to be compiled at the Linux environment. I expected it could also be compiled at the Cygwin environment, and it was. But the exe file caused a sgmentation fault. I didn't know how the segmentation fault should be handled is depends on the operating system.

Power unit

Thers's less personal affair worth mentioning with some photos lately. But it's desolate without any photos. So I decided to show a photo irrespectively of the article as far as possible.

R0011969

I tried to replace the power unit of a faulty PC. I have had another unit, so I was going to change with that. Unfortunately, I found the spair one was also dead. I have to purchase a new one, and have to discard two broken ones.

A girl

I played with a girl, a four years daughter of my friends. But she appeared to dislike me... I think the reason is that I had no inclination to treat her as a child.

Finally, it becomes holiday since 23 Septermber.

Nature of my hatred

My friend revealed the nature of my hatred of some senior people in the office. She said such people treat me as one of a male adult man. I didn't know that that is the reason. But her brief view seems to have a lot of truth. She must be right.

Project Retrospective

Check in: fatigued
I should have to read the first translations earlier. I didn't find a lot of problems until much later and wasted many hours of work. But I believe now that the output is far from poor. I really have a lot to appreciate everybody concerned.

Prices of the paper is rising due to the escalating oil price. We book publishers are in trouble getting the paper for the books.

Difficulty of SXPath

I still can't be familiar with the SXPath. I think the reason is that the SXPath has many functions yielding erratic results. That is, someone returns a procedure and the other is evaluated into a value. There are less consistency as I understand.

However, I feel the original XPath has more complicated expression. I can hardly understand the structure of a tree by means of somehow except for the s-expression.

Caffein addictive

My friend seems to be addicted to the caffeine.

10/05/2007

I don't do mathematics lately.

I'm not good at deciding when to leave the office. I will keep working if no one in the office start to leave there.

I failed to write the dialy yesterday because I encountered a gkbr (that is, a black hurmful insect) in my room. It was the first time in this season. I'm still feel scared sitting in this room...

Afanassiev played Sylvestrov

I enjoyed Valery Afanassiev played Sylvestrov in Toppan Hall. He also played Schubert, though I found that these were just an entertainment. He must have wanted to play Sylvestrov. In deed, the hall were filled with the most tension while Sylvestrov.

Meanwhile, it's too bad I had to sit behind an old man who smelled of smokes. All the smoker should know that they are as smell as people who don't take a bath.
