I've had no choice but to bring a conference this evening.
It was hard as I've always try to prevent a long meeting.
This heavy workload will last at least two weeks.
Omega 3
I want to buy a bottle of flax seed oil liquid extracted by Omega Nutrition.
But the price is too expensive in japan.
Although I could import it from US, it requires additinal shipping cost.
It's no point to stock up because of its short expiration date.
Almost all japanese doesn't know the significance of the EFA. Moreove, the hazardous nature of trans fat is systematically covered by the government. You want believe this, there are many food products which include vast amount of trans fat in japan. Even worse, Some of these products are officially regarded as a healthy food by the Health Ministry. Crazy...

Yureru
I watched a movie titled 'Yureru'.
'Yureru' means 'waving' or 'shaking' in japanese. The movie carefully shows the situation of an
accident that a young girl fell from a hanging bridge. When she fell,
there was a man who has known her each other since they were children.
He was suspected of murder. His younger brother who was upon the accident
scene tried to prove the innocence of the elder brother. But the
younger brother have had intimacy with the girl the last night. Was
the falling just an accident or the entanglement with murder?
A man's memories are not sure. It is reconstructed unintended.
The younger brother also has only a vague memory though he must have seen
the moment. He was struggling against the truth. He was struggling
aginst the relationsip with his elder brother too. Finally he made a
testimony at the court.
The movie shaked off the audience at the last. But the last scene wasn't
tragic. It was a very impressed movie at all.

Stay home at sunny day
I stayed home all the day and read the galley of a book scheduled to publish next
month while watching the '24 Season Two' on the DVD, in this fine sunny
day!

Passed a peak
We say 'pass a peak' in japanese, when the busy job is settled for a while.
I passed a first peak of a current project today, though the other peaks are
still waiting. I ought to read another galley from tomorrow.

Why am I in the office this late at night?
Though I've decided not to work overtime. Never.

Today is our 6th wedding anniversary. It is as long as the years of
the elementary school. I'll be counting on you for all the years to come.

Bulletin
Our company, a publisher, puts out a kind of bulletin every season.
The bulletin is not on the market.
It's distributed free to regular subscribers of magazines we
published.
I thought such a bulletin has many significance in itself. But I cannot stand for the editor's meeting. Anybody who should manage the meeting doesn't seem to have a perspective. They have to get serious.

X
I've been trying to upgrade my debian box so as to be able to install
gauche 0.8.9. I just hitted apt-get upgrade. It was the end of the
line. It seemed that I should reinstall something another operating
system like OpenBSD.

Kahua seminar
I joined a seminar about Kahua, an application server written with Gauche, a Scheme interpleter.
But all I did was upgrading my slackware box to kernel 2.6, because Kahua doesn't work with linux thread.
It requires NPTL, and kernel 2.4 doesn't support NPTL.
However, I met a lot of people who worked with Gauche, and could talked with them. It's the biggest advantage of such a seminar.

Teizo Matsumura
I went to the concert of the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra.
They played Teizo
Matsumura's Piano Concerto No.1, Arthur Honegger's Symphony No.5,
and suchlike. Teizo Matsumura is one of the honorable composers in
japan, though I've never heard live performance of his tune. He also
seemed to hear today's concert. I thought the orchestra and Ichiro
Nodaira, who played piano solo, managed the tension of the concerto
very well. I was very impressed.

Ueno is Microsoft?
My friend show me a web site which maps the Web2.0 services onto
railways and subways in Tokyo. The web site is "Web Trend Map
2007".
I seem to live in under the influence of Microsoft.

Porridge
I ate porridge everyday since last saturday.
Japanese porridge is not made from oats but rice.
However, both are common in its soft taste, so I'm not satisfied with
it. I want to chew something harder meals.

Contents in Paged media
I think that the paged media demand will continue.
There's few choice to create and edit the paged media.
That is true.
I also think, however, how much paper will we need?
Especially, how many books will we need?
I've been contemplating this problem.

Reading books
I love reading books. But lately, I feel readings like watching TV
show or playing console games. I mean, when I read I feel as if I'm
just wasting time. I know what is the root of this problem, though I
can't put it down in english right now. I'll write it in japanese in a
few days.

Time killing
Thanks to the medicine to protect against infections, I was in a
half awake feeling through a day. I've thrown away time with thinking
a trivial exercise of the finite state machine. I know such a puzzle
is good for nothing except killing time.

Dental Implant
Today I went to the dentist and received implants.
Not pain, but have dull feeling in my mouth.
I cannot chew well over the next 2 or 3 months for laying the implanted titanium down the dental bone.
That's no problem.
The problem is not able to brush my teeth well during the period.
By the way, I've read a petty book about the implants before the surgery. It was written by a dentist and he said that his treatments of a single tooth implant costs only under 200,000 JPY. It's too cheap to believe! I pay near 300,000 JPY.
The book was filled with a lot of other pleasant words for patients. But the words sounded buoyant abount the contraindications. For instance, the book said that even the smorker could get the dental implant, though my dentist denies it. A brief look at the Wikipedia also let me feel the book suspicious.
The same holds the cost. My dentist seems to charge the appropriate rate.

Adequate as an editor?
I think that the science/technology book editor shouldn't want to dive into the subject of which he's editing. Because he's becoming ignoring the beginner's inclination. I'm not sure I'm standing on the beginner's side lately.
Meanwhile, it turned out to be hard to write the journal with NDS everyday...

Fire engines in Akihabara
I encountered prenty of fire engines in Akihabara.
It was around 23 o'clock.
It must have been over ten fire engines, though I couldn't recognize the precise number.
There might have been a fire.
Or, have they just been training?

Post from Nintendo DS
l've sat up a new wireless router. The new router supports Nintendo DS. So l am writing this journal using my DS lite.
Although it's little bit hard to let the touch panel to recognize my hand writings, there're seemed to be no big trouble in connecting to the server.

Trouble on a wireless router
Suddenly my wireless router hung up at this morning, then it was
completely fucked up. I bought an alternative one at Yodobashi Camera
and somehow completed installation. Although installation itself was
easy, it's hard to configure networks for Windows98 PC.

Resolution
I confess that I lag far behind in knowledge about mathematics and
computers. I've not touched upon these area since my graduation. I
must study hard to make up for lost time. So I decided to brush up my
understandings on these subjects during the first six months of
2007. This is my resolution in 2007.

Mother's birthday present
We visigted my mother living in the next prefecture. She seemed to be well, though she's been distressed by my father's death for a while.
After eating lunch, we went to the department store in her town to select her birthday present. She's becoming 63 years old in this Janualy 15.
She choose a green sweater. Unexpectedly, I also bought a sirts for myself. I must save money from tomorrow.

Burning Zelkova smells
We've collected some kinds of firewoods for the bornfire by which
having a warm during waiting for the first sunright. There were
firewoods that have trouble igniting. Though I've thought that those
firewoods were wet, it wasn't wetness that caused trouble on igninting.
Some woods are suited for the bornfire but othres aren't. I studied an authoritative book about the bornfire, and found that ill-igniting woods we've had trouble were seemed to have been zilkove tree. According to the book, zilkove is so dence that hardly ignintes. The book also says that burning zilkove smells bad. In fact, it smoked a lot and the smoke smelled terribly.
Since zilkova is planted everywhere as the roadside tree, I have to watch out.

Hatsu-yume
Japanese believes that the dream seen on Janualy 2 tells the
feature of rest of the year. Such a dream is called Hatsu-yume. 'Hatsu' means
'the first' and 'yume' means the dream. There are some superstition
about Hatsu-yume, like that the Mt.Fuji is the most lucky Hatsu-yume,
and so on. What's more, the third preferable Hatsu-yume is the dream
of the eggplant. I don't know why the eggplant is so auspicious.
This year I dreamed a strange Hatsu-yume. In the dream, I've been asking anxiously to an U.S. senate for seeking my baggage. What's the hell does this dream mean?

Department Store
My digital camera broke yesterday. So I went to Yodobashi Camera
asking for repair it today. Although it will not cost since it's under
guarantee, I feel too bad in not being able to take picture while
repairing.
Along the way to Yodobashi Camera, I went to a department store in Shinjuku. It was too crowded becaude all department stores in Japan reopen on Janualy 2nd.

New Year Sunrise
I've spent the New Year's day eve at the seashore with friends for a
decade. At there, we've been waiting for the first sunrise of the
year.
As Japan is located in the north hemishpare, the seashore in January is ridiculously cill. So we make a bornfire every time. This year, we failed to start up a bornfire because the firewoods were wet. However, all the woods were reduced to ashes finally.
For these two or three years, the clouds prevented us from seeing the first sunrise. This year we could see it after a long interval. I hope the luck will last the rest of this year.
